“During the pandemic, we seemed to live a week in a day full of informational, emotional and work experiences. We did not have time to take off our uniforms until they had to be on our body again. For some, the uniform seemed to have become a second body. We missed the old days, but we did not complain. We could not even dream of different times. Working with love and being united also had a 24-hour effect”.
Can you imagine how difficult it is to find answers? The human being revives anew what he has lived and what not…
I think the days that everyone lived before the pandemic used to be simple, ordinary, but during the pandemic, everything turned around by 180°.
COVID-19 divided people into 2 groups: from some it took, to others it gave.
Myself and people like me were equally divided into 2 groups: we used to spend most of the day, week, or month in the hospital with no fixed hours for work, food, sleep, leisure, reading, and walking.
During the pandemic, we seemed to live a week in a day full of informational, emotional and work experiences. We did not have time to take off our uniforms until they had to be on our body again. For some, the uniform seemed to have become a second body. We missed the old days, but we did not complain. We could not even dream of different times. Working with love and being united also had a 24-hour effect.
Love in the Days of COVID…
Do you know how many beautiful families and couples were formed during the pandemic, how many enviable friendships were created? How people were helping, supporting, living, and sympathizing with each other! COVID did not have a negative effect on everything in the personal life. And don’t even say that there have been only losses, because there is something regained behind every loss. Even in my case personally, I have had my gain.
COVID challenged everyone
There was no right to step back, not even the courage to do so. The most difficult thing for me was to live inside the walls all day long. There was no air to breathe, no place to walk, no heights to overcome. But I found a way out: I was either on the rooftops, or sitting on the balconies at dawn, or else, wandering around the empty streets of Yerevan at midnight.
Love your Freedom. Let no War Kill what keeps you Alive.
COVID as a University
There were not many lecturers, but they were competent. What I have learned will remain with me. I would have changed only one thing; all the patients who had gone home recovered expressed a wish to keep in touch with the doctor – I didn’t. But I have not forgotten them.
COVID Diploma
I will never regret my choice. I have acquired culture, time, love, art, friends, people, saved lives, and most importantly, I stayed in the memory of my patients.
Can I Tell you Something?
Tigran’s health condition was quite serious: he had a total bilateral lung disease in an oxygen-dependent condition, and his wife just passed away in another hospital, which he was not yet aware of upon request of his son Grisha. We did our best to keep Tigran from knowing. It took a long time until the situation was sorted out. We called a psychologist, who disclosed the information to Tigran. It was hard, we were all stressed, afraid of the situation to get worse. He was discharged with his eyes full of tears. He hugged me and left. It was a war time, and then – the New Year came. I received a text message. It was Tigran, who had messaged me on behalf of his son Grisha:
“Dear Doctor, I wholeheartedly wish you a Happy New Year. May God’s blessings be eternal. ՛՛
Perished freedom fighter,
Grisha, Tigran’s son.
